True Blood (HBO)

Estreada por terras de Camones no dia em que entrei nos entas, True Blood é a nova criação de Alan Ball, autor da minha série-favorita-de-todos-os-tempos: Six Feet Under(ou para Tugas puristas 6 Palmos de Terra).

Um grupo de cientistas japoneses conseguiu sintetizar o sangue, e este agora vende-se em supermercados e boas lojas de conveniência. Com isto os vampiros puderam sair do caixão, e estão agora aproximadamente inseridos na sociedade civil, apesar de serem discriminados. Também foi descoberto pelos humanos que o sangue de vampiro é uma droga poderosa, e por isso estes também são caçados pelas antigas redes de trafego de orgãos. A acção centra-se numa pequena cidade da Louisiana, onde Sookie (uma muito bem escolhida Anna Paquin), uma emprega de mesa telepata, conhece Bill (Stephen Moyer) um vampiro muito misterioso (como não poderia deixar de ser) por quem se apaixona.

Misturando o estilo único de representação da vida familiar de Ball, com os géneros de terror e ficção cientifica, dá um resultado bastante fora do vulgar. Acrescentando o calor libidinoso da Louisiana à mistura, torna-a totalmente irresistível. Ainda só passaram 2 episódeos, mas foram mais do que suficiente para ficar rendido e impacientemente à espera de mais... Deixo-vos uma dentadinha.
